LJ jumps the shark

They don't. I never set a preference for it and there is no such preference on that page. And I could have read that on the front page or news anyway. WTF?

It did, before they split the settings up. It used to be called something like "recieve information about lifejournal by email" or soemthing though.

Thanks; I have done so now. Apparently this will be fixed in future mails. But in the mean time there's still no link to those settings.
