Looks like I'm not ever going to catch up properly. I'll just put in a brief list of things which you probably already know, but might have missed. Ask me if you want to know more details.

• Got a DVD player. This was something I had been meaning to do for a while; I even bought some discs already (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Fight Club). Exchanged the one that Richer Sounds recommended to me, which made a bit of a mess of playing Region 1 discs on a PAL TV, for the one I had originally intended to get, which played them perfectly (without attempting to convert to PAL frequencies). So much for expert advice. Enjoyed the films again, and the commentaries on Fight Club.
• Took delivery of a dining table and chairs. Must get rid of the box for that table, oh, and put away the DVD player's box too.
• Booked flights to see Nattie at the end of the month. Yay! Let's just hope the US doesn't go and close its borders again.
• Planned out computing facilities, including a network, for myself and Nattie. This is going to take a bit of money to set up, so might not be complete for a year. It should include a new PC workstation, my current PC as a workstation with some server duties, a spare old PC as a router/firewall, an Airport for wireless networking, and a notebook computer that uses that and provides network connectivity throughout the house (and maybe out in the meadow) without all that tiresome wiring.

This evening I have been working on the backlog of photos to scan. Haven't uploaded them yet. Let me know if you desperately want to see what Nattie and I were doing between March and May.
