Election day
May. 5th, 2005 05:55 amRemember to vote today, if you can do so and haven't already done so by post. Polls are open from 7am until 10pm. If you have your polling card, taking that along will speed the process, but it's not essential. If there are tellers at the polling station they'll want your elector number (from the card) or other identifying details so they have a good idea of turnout and which of their canvassed supporters have yet to vote. If you've told a canvasser you'll vote for their party, this could save them and you a reminder. It may also help to deter fraud within the polling station.
If you've still not decided which way to vote, you can get an idea of which party is best aligned with your view using WhoShouldYouVoteFor and check your previous MP's behaviour using TheyWorkForYou.
