Feb. 27th, 2002 11:15 pmI spent the weekend pottering while Nattie was in Oxfnord, which was odd. I tried to avoid reverting into single mode, with some success.
Nattie just set off the smoke alarm, which proves that it's working properly. I don't think I ever set the old one off while cooking, and not for lack of burning things.
Oh yeah, I checked on the water charges. Looks like we're using about 1/3 m3 per day, at which rate we should save about £80 over the year. Not as much as I hoped, but not to be sneezed at. Almost half the cost comes from the fixed charge for sewerage, which I neither understand nor have any choice about.
