So far we have seen:
- Bubba Ho-tep: Good fun, worth seeing, but a bit short on story.
- The Cat Returns: Nice anime with some excellent animation. It's also very funny. It's quite fast-paced and a little hard to follow in some parts but that could be because I was tired and missed some subtitles. Nattie got more out of it through understanding some of the Japanese dialogue.
- The General: Absolutely hilarious, except towards the end where the humour is a bit more black. We saw a very well restored print (possibly digital?) on the outdoor screen on Parker's Piece, with a live pianist.
- Comme une image: Excellent. Amusing and touching by equal parts. Nattie and I found the leading female character strangely familiar... The actress was also present since this (or rather the previous day's showing) was the film's UK premiere, so there was much applause for her and a Q&A session afterwards.
Think I might see The Yes Men tonight but I'm not sure I can make it.
