Jan. 22nd, 2002 12:39 amAt the weekend we went into town and bought various household items we were in need of. I helped Nattie to get a bike and the various necessary accessories, and we cycled home together. Oh, and I managed to get a duplicate receipt for Nattie's mobile phone which turned out to have been taken in the burglary. The salesman I spoke to in Carphone Warehouse retrieved the information and printed it in about a minute, which impressed me greatly. Now I should be able to claim for that too.
The meal plan went well, though last night's maultaschen (our first recipe from the Swabian cookery book, a bit like ravioli) weren't as coherent as they should have been. Hopefully we'll get them right next time.
At work, I am becoming more and more of a sysadmin. I started with the mail server and have now taken over the firewall, backup configuration, and domain name service. This means that I get to fix various annoying problems with our computers, but also that I'll be the first one to blame when new problems occur.
