Scary lurch to the right

The results of the Euro-election have mostly been announced for the UK.

As predicted, the UKIP placed third in share of the vote (16.8%), ahead of us (15.1%). What's really depressing is that the BNP got a full 5.2% of the vote; thankfully their voters are sufficiently dispersed that they did not win any seats.
